We are hiring Movers & Laborers with positive attitudes and great work ethic that love to stay active! Start off as a Part Time employee and convert to Full Time with strong performance.
Grooving and Moving Labor LLC is looking for dedicated team members to pack, unpack, load and unload customers’ items, but this job isn’t just about the heavy lifting! During moves you’ll work face-to-face with customers to ensure their specific needs are met. As a mover, every day is different and every move brings new challenges, but our goal is simple: providing exceptional customer service and striving for 5 stars.
Competitive Pay
Customer tips average $2.00 to $4.00+/hour for top performers
Performance reviews with raise potential every 3 months
- Work in teams of Movers to complete 1-3 jobs per day
- Greet customers upon arrival and complete a walk-through of the home/business
- Perform inspections of goods, checking for pre-existing damages
- Load and unload moving trucks
- Pack and unpack customer belongings
- Complete paperwork
- Take payments from customers
- Able to obtain 5-Star reviews on a consistent basis
- Dependable and reliable (This is a must)
- Access to reliable and punctual transportation
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and some evenings
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public
- Able to take initiative when a supervisor or lead is not around to direct
Professional attitude and demeanor - Able to accept direction and constructive feedback
- Experience in the fields of general labor, moving, construction or warehouse
- Listen well and remember multiple assignments
- Stamina to lift heavy items repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
- 18 years or older
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers to grab, handle or feel
- Able to reach with hands and arms
- Able to talk and hear
- Intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
Experience with at least one of the following preferred: moving, warehouse, manufacturing, stocking, customer service, helper, professional driving or general labor.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Salary: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
